Find Your Christmas Ever After

Karen Schaler's Christmas Ever After

Keep it up, keep it up, keep that Christmas spirit up! 📣 Find your Christmas ever after with Karen Schaler’s latest, Christmas Ever After. This is such a sweet, warm holiday book and I promise it’ll start warming your heart before you can load a dishwasher.

Well, well, well. What do we have here?

Finding it hard to get in the ho-ho-ho mindset after such a wackadoodle year? Main character Riley can sure relate. Kinda looking to fast-forward through all this (for whatever reason) and skip to the 26th? Riley understands.

Riley has successfully avoided Christmas for years. Hard pass for this gal. It brings up a lot of sad memories, and like one of my previous posts, sometimes ostrich-like behaviors work.

Riley has had an incredible career. News anchor. International journalist. Travel journalist. And now, best-selling romance novelist. The hitch in this giddyup is that Riley’s last novel tanked. Annnnnnd she kinda abandoned ship mid-interview and her industry peeps have put her on a short leash. How short? How about, if you don’t make this next novel work, you’re done!

Christmas Lake

Riley’s publicist has set up a Christmas Camp in Christmas Lake, CO. A handful of uber-fans have been selected to enjoy a long weekend doing all things festive with Riley. In turn, Riley can pull some great holiday traditions and glean possible story lines from the Christmas Camp attendees.

What Riley doesn’t expect is for her three past loves to seek her out at this Christmas Camp in a Bachelor-style date-off. Or for the resort owner to be so dashingly handsome, kind, accepting and be so painfully into Christmas!

The Pickle

Survive being around all this holly jolly without wanting to runaway. Be authentic with the Christmas Camp guests while her publicist/agent/others breathe down her back to get the story right. Figure out which of these men from her past might be part of her future. Find her Christmas ever after.

Why This is Different From Other Christmas Tales

Christmas Ever After is in its own league from other Christmas books. It’s so often I’ve read books that the male doesn’t like Christmas and the female in the story if oozing the red and green craziness. Anyone who has watched the Bachelor knows that there are shenanigans when people are competing for time and attention. So think of this book like a Christmas-themed Bachelor mini-season.

Also, a special stand-out to me was the incorporation of honoring our military service people. What an incredible platform for an author to carve out an honorary mention to people who are sacrificing daily for people living normal, everyday lives. Beautiful!

You’ll be happy you picked this book up and I’d be surprised if you didn’t grab another one of hers the following holiday season. 🎄
