Fancy Shmancy Picture Books for Your Glam Gal or Guy

Who doesn’t love a little razzle dazzle, amirite?! We can all agree that we love picture books for teaching morals, life skills and early learning concepts. But every once in a while I come across a book that just adds sparkle into our bookshelf and it feels oh-so good!

Glitter is my favorite color.
Just add glitter

Just Add Glitter by Angela DiTerlizzi and Samantha Cotterill is legit sparkle goodness. The illustrations and the texture and the story are just beyond. I am dying over this book. Please Angela and Samantha, tell me you have more where this came from. Fan club! This would be such a fun gift with glitter, glitter glue and small canvases. Dreamy!

Grandma's Purse

Grandma’s Purse by Vanessa Brantley-Newton is the cutest of cute board books. The book includes a purse handle perfect for Hope to tote around. (Now that she’s independently walking, she loves to also carry odds and ends with her.) The illustrations are so sweet and the writing sends such a great message. All of the treasures Grandma carries with her are for sentimental reasons (the ‘smell good’ is used so the granddaughter will remember Grandma after she’s left the house – C-U-T-E!).

Mary Had a Little Glam

Mary Had a Little Glam by Tammi Sauer is a book to buy, not borrow from the library! This sweet Mary loves a little a little extra something with her OOTD look and gets her fellow classmates – both boys and girls (yasss!) – in on the glam fun! However, this gal also can appreciate just playing and getting dirty. Yes ma’am!

I Had a Favorite Dress

I Had a Favorite Dress by Boni Ashburn has the prettiest, most whimsical illustrations! This mom-daughter team has such great ideas for a dress that starts out as the daughter’s favorite but has to be modified time and time again. So clever! And how fantastic to teach kiddos to roll with it.
